Pierre first met Thierry Drevelle in September 2019 at the 50th birthday celebration of their mutual “brother.” They bonded over their shared passion for fine cigars and Cognac and became fast friends.
Thierry is a 4th generation artisan who has been polishing his craft for more than four decades. Initially trained in the restoration of wooden antiques and family heirlooms, he later began designing elaborate one-of-a-kind pieces. His work has been recognised by the French state on multiple occasions and he is a proud advocate of artisanal production and of passing down know-how to the next generation.
His company, Les Ateliers Drevelle is located in Cognac, housed in a 19thcentury building designed by Gustave Eiffel. It is from here that Thierry and his small, but dedicated team create exquisite works of art including cigar boxes, cases, chests and contemporary furniture. Each object is timeless, designed to evoke emotions and fabricated using exceptional materials, such as rare and precious veneers.
