Alexandre Lamblot represents a new generation of forward-thinking vignerons redefining Champagne. Based in Janvryin the Petite Montagne de Reims, he farms 3.5 hectares across Vrigny, Chenay, Janvry and Gueux — family parcels dating back to the 1600s, alongside carefully tended rented vineyards. He released his first wines in 2019.
Certified organic since 2021, Alexandre goes well beyond certification. He protects soil health with light machinery, natural cover crops and even chickens for natural fertilization, while planting around 100 tree species per hectare to enhance biodiversity through vitiforestry. The vineyards are planted mainly to Meunier (60%), with Pinot Noir (25%) and Chardonnay (15%), using high-density massale selection.
In the cellar, each press fraction is vinified separately with indigenous yeasts, mostly in used barrels. The wines are bottled after about 11 months without fining or filtration, with low sulfur and minimal intervention, often disgorged without dosage for purity and precision. Produced in tiny quantities, these Champagnes are vibrant, textured and deeply expressive, driven above all by the pursuit of exceptional base wine.
